My name is Phillip, a British spatial designer living and working in Copenhagen with an eye for spaces and places. Born and raised in Nottingham and with proud roots in Galloway in Scotland I was happily imported to Copenhagen in 1981 by my wife, Jette. My knowledge of the city was minimal, only that it was flat and that you could hear a blackbird sing in the Town Hall Square during the rush hour, it was that quiet.
During the last 35 years, Copenhagen has transformed from a provincial ugly duckling to a dynamic metropolis that has become a focal point for architects, urban and spatial designers, foodies and trendspotters. Parallel with the city’s transformation, I developed my skills as a spatial designer working on many corporate spaceplanning and interior design projects in Copenhagen.
This site is dedicated simply for sharing my experiences and explorations of Copenhagen’s urban landscapes and landmarks that continue to engage me in their unique ways.
